Hired Hands Bed in Poplar circa 1840 Refitted to Full Size

Hired hands bed in poplar circa 1840 refitted to full size with plywood platform (no box spring necessary) with new nuts integrated into the side rails and new bolts. The knobs for the ropes were filled. Besides the modern touches to make it usable for today's full size, this bed is otherwise original. Perfect bed for a guest room or a room with limited window height. This bed came from the historic neighborhood of Forge Village in Westford, Massachusetts, which housed workers for the Abbot Mills in the 19th century.
